When did reporters stop covering sports and start judging athletes?
Ok that last post was too long. No one wants to hear ranting on and on. So I will try to keep all my new posts as short as possible. Besides the most effective message is short and repeated.

Fuck ESPN!

I am a huge sports fan, but this channel has gone too far. I never ever ever thought I would say this, but ESPN has too much sports coverage. The anchors or "journalists" have gone from experts to gossiping little girls. What happened to journalistic respect for athletes and coaches? The ESPN cast criticizes everything athletes do or say. Yet they are not criticized for their dumbass mouthspouts. I guess its not just ESPN, all media in general seem to have forgotten that they are just that, media. They cover the sports because they are not talented enough themselves to play the game. Frustrated has-beens, and never-was athletes should not be allowed to blantantly criticize athletes and coaches who are far superior to them.

With the exception of a few (Marino, Esiason, Steve Young, D-Woodson, Ditka, maybe Eric Allen, and a few I may be forgetting) these "journalists" should shut the fuck up most of the time. Who is Trey Wingo to criticize any athlete? OK Grossman didn't throw a perfect game, but who has? Not Sean Fucking Salsbury. Marty Shottenheimer didn't call a perfect playoff game and he his playoff record basically sucks, but at least he's in the league.

What happened to RESPECT? Marty is a football god compared to anyone on the NFL tonight cast. Even Mike Golic and Mark Schlereth are pisspants compared to most of the athletes they continually rip on.

The media has too much access, too many cameras and too much time to analyze and rip apart every action and spoken word in the sports world today. Some bitch reporter grills Brett Favre about his retirement plans seconds after completing what could be his final game. Let the man walk off the field on his own, you don't need to break the retiremnet story that night for the 10pm sportscenter. Then Wingo or some other no business in sports period anchor makes fun of a legend for shedding tears on TV. Its easy to make fun of him from your air-compression chair in your heated studio with makeup on you faggot. The NFL should do a service to their employees and limit media access to press conferences only. No more locker room access. Its not like the paparazzi chase down Stuart Scott while he's taking a shit. Give these men some privacy, they've earned it. They are the best athletes in the world playing at the highest level. Until you've done that, you can't knock their best efforts.

Not to mention they make huge assumptions from one game. Grossman has a bad game, and Griese should start. The defense has a bad game and they need to revamp the whole team. One game does not tell the story of a season. There is a thing called perspective that you can't really gain from one game or one season. Don't judge unless you have first judge yourself sports media. And you suck at sports, thats why your on the sideline and not on the field. Fuck Jim Rome too, why does he have his own show? Where is his sports credibility?

I HATE SO MUCH THAT I SEE ON SPORTS COVERAGE THESE DAYS

1 question to "president" Bush..."If we are giving Iraq a democracy and our country is supposed to be a democracy, then why don't the people have any say in this on either side?"

Ask the Iraqi people if they want our troops over there, and ask our citizens if we support our troops over there. In either instance, the people would say no U.S. troops in Iraq. But democracies are not run by people anymore, they are run by dictators. So we are not freeing Iraq from Suddam, but just transferring power from one dick-tater to another. Addaboy George Dub you even managed to have your opponent hanged on TV by his own people, now there is no one over there in Iraq to protect the people from you. And Iraq will be all yours!!! Just like the U.S. And why stop there? You can rule the whole world if your own citizens will just keep their mouths shut. Well Fuck You! compared to you, Saddam seemed lame and tame, if only it was your image on that cell phone camera instead, the world would be a more peaceful place. How does that feel?

College athletes are punished severely for taking any money, gifts, from a booster, agent, or pretty much anybody besides their mommy. Why then is it allowed for bowl sponsors to put together gift packages worth hundreds or thousands of dollars for the players participating in these bowls? And why are bowl games sponsored at all? Who receives all that money from the sposnor? The schools? The NCAA? I know the schools make bank from these huge sponsored bowls, but don't they get enough from all the other games and tuition? And if the NCAA receives a nice check from Tostitos then where does that money go? There is a question that goes largely unaddressed, who directly benefits from these corporate sponsors? Not the student athlete, not the educational process. How do you tell Troy Smith not to accept a $500 handshake, but watch the school accept a $2 million check from Tostitos? I just don't understand that if the NCAA is looking out first and foremost for the student athlete, then why are the NCAA football games sponsored? It seems a bit hypocritical. But you know I'm eating Tostito's salsa during the National Championship presented by Tostitos.
